Hey ya'll ~ As I have been working on other projects I have located my Civil War Fabrics stashed away in a tiny box. I still need a lot more Civil War fabrics so it will be fun to see what I find out in my favorite Quilt shops on line.
I am still in the process of deciding what my other 2 Quilts will be in, which fabrics. I think I might use batiks, and the last Quilt will be with Japanese fabrics. I think tomorrow I might play around with some fo the simple blocks to get started! But I still am not set on those fabrics.
This book is about Civil War times which started April 12 1861.The book includes stories from a housewife, a slave, a confederate spy,an Eldress,a 14 year old teenager,16 year old girl who sewed clothes for soldiers with her with mother, and how the war affected a 3 year old girl 60 years later. These are just a few of the women and children from the book. What strength and courage they had during the Civil War.

The Journey Begins
Good Morning to Ya'll
This will be the start of my Civil War Quilt ,and where I will place photo's of my finished blocks. I will be making 3 quilts and hopefully It will be a easy ride but a long one .
I have some fabrics ,so I will use repo civil war materials for one quilt. I have decided to use bright batiks for another. The last quilt I think I might use Aunt Grace fabrics. It will be a change up in colors. Working on 3 sets of blocks at the same time I think I will get to know each block personally!
